PianocityXdeezmal

A visual jazz experiment in collaboration with Deezmal for Milano Pianocity. Me and piano player Pasquale Rinaldi came up with the idea to blend our two worlds, visual and acoustic, into a unique experimental performance. With this concept in mind we started wondering about ideas and possibilities of the medium. Annual event "Piano City Milano" was about to happen and Pasquale together with his band Deezmal were invited to play. We took the chance and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to create something original and not widely seen in that music panorama. The end result was an 1 hour long live audiovisual performance in which we tried to push the limits of storytelling through geometric abstraction and improvised electronic jazz. Setup was made in Touchdesigner.
